Don't automatically reject this Heckel because it is a flat top style. This bassoon has a beautiful sound.
I needed to do some pad work and venting on it when it first came into the shop. Results were great.
Not easy to find an 8000 series for sale these days.
High D. Offset high Eb and E keys. High A to whisper key bridge.
Left hand whisper key lock.

Usual rollers between low F and Ab touch pieces. Rollers between low Eb and low C# touch pieces.
Rollers between thumb F# and low E pancake touch pieces.
Water tubes. Don't know who did them.

Another beautiful sounding 5000 series Heckel. I am increasingly thinking this is one of the better
series Heckels
High D added. Not sure by whom.
No rollers but the keywork is beautifully done making rollers unnecessary. (unless you're used to them)
Probably could use water tubes.

5000 series Heckels like this are the big reason I have become a fan of the 5s. Beautiful, sweet sound.
